This reversing camera has been specially developed for use on the Transporter VW Transporter T5 and T6 (2010 onwards). The known problem is that a reversing camera cannot be easily mounted on vehicles with levers. If you now use a conventional body camera you can align it downwards, but the rear of many vehicles runs slightly upwards towards the top. A normal reversing camera would detect this curvature and obscure the trailer coupling, the footboard or the bumper. 

The rear-view camera, especially integrated into the 3rd brake light glass, allows visibility beyond the curvature and thus captures the complete rear wall, bumper etc. Only then can accurate maneuvering be possible, especially when it is only a few centimeters.

The high-resolution sensor allows for optimal image reproduction. 

Unlike normal body cameras, this is integrated directly into the brake light glass and thus fits well into the overall vehicle picture and is also practical. Due to the overhang, the camera module can be perfectly adapted to the respective vehicle. 

The camera module conforms to protection class IP68 and is completely water and dustproof.
